What we do
Carbon Economics supports decision-makers working on renewable energy and climate questions that require a broad system perspective and sound judgement.
The work is organised in three areas:
Strategic consulting
Supporting decision-makers in understanding the role renewable energy can play in building secure, affordable, and well-functioning energy systems. This includes clarifying how renewables contribute to energy security, how they can help deliver affordability, and how they can be integrated into the wider energy system alongside networks and other technologies.
Research and analytical collaboration
Working with partners to develop new approaches and support the deployment of emerging energy technologies, with a focus on sustainable fuels, renewable heat, and the electrification of energy end uses.
Data, tools and training
Helping organisations make better use of energy data and scenarios through simple, practical tools and tailored analytical support.
